In Pidgin English, to "walkabaot" means to travel or wander. Vanuatu Aelan Walkabaot is a non-commercial travel resource for the outer islands with real information and advice about accommodation, transport, places of interest and activities. Our aim is to promote low impact tourism that will contribute in a positive way to the lives of rural people in Vanuatu and to encourage sound natural resource stewardship.

Lonely Planet in retreat - the new 6th Edition

The new Lonely Planet Vanuatu and New Caledonia 6th edition is surprising. A whole province, the Torres and Banks, has been left out. Ambae, Maewo, Erromango and Aneityum have been dropped. I do not recommend the 6th edition because it is incomplete. If you are interested in visiting the these islands then start exploring our site.
