Accommodation and Food
John Melkrem Guesthouse is a simple local house with matresses and mosquito nets. Most trekkers will have a tent and there is also a campsite.

Shared toilet and shower (bucket) facilities are housed separately.

Services and Transport
Port Vato, stores and West Ambrym's health centre are about one kilometre to the west. Lalinda village is about one kilometre to the east.
