Nial
Botanical Conservation Area was established in 1990. This
small 2 hectare area has a botanical garden, agro-forestry
plot, a nursery, spice gardens, sandal wood and commercial
tree species. The owner, Pontiano is very enthusiastic about
his collection and a wealth of knowledge.
Nial
was not developed for tourists and if you want to visit you
need to contact Pontiano. You can phone him on 48837 (training
centre) or if that doesn't work call 48516 (community phone,
Walarano) and leave a message.
If you're staying at Rose
Bay Bungalows, Nial is only about 20 minutes walk away.
