I stayed here many times for both work and play, short and long stays in 2009. Sam, Helena and kids are absolutely ideal hosts, and friends. Breakfast and dinner are provided, usually involve fresh bread, peanut butter for brekkie and for dinner something like laplap, or yams, fresh cucumber, noodles with tin fish. Ask for what fruit and vegetables are available, and they will try to please you. The natangura roofed bungalow is charming, clean, basic, and has mosquito nets and curtains. A huge plus, it is located in a private corner (with fruit trees and a lawn) of Sam's huge yard as this offers much more peace, quiet and space than one typically gets in a village. Sam turns on the electric for up to two hours each night and there are lights and electrical outlets in the bungalow. There was as of September 09, a second bungalow being built but an existing western style toilet and spacious wash room separate from the sleeping area. |
