Lua
ete Salgolo is a friendly new guesthouse at Kaiwo village,
north Maewo. It's the first accommodation you find when
coming from the Naone airfield. Kaiwo is within walking
distance of the waterfall and cascades on the plateau above
Naone (half-day excursion). There's an excellent swimming
hole at the cascades.

Accommodation at Lua ete Salgolo Guesthouse costs 800 Vatu
per night per person or 1200 Vatu per person including meals.

The owner/manager of Lua ete Salgolo is Nathaniel. Languages
spoken are Bislama and English. All expenses are payable

Accommodation
and Food
The bungalow is built of local and modern materials. It
has one bedroom and a kitchen/sitting room. The bedroom
has one single bed and one bunk bed (two singles). The windows
have screens and mosquito coils are available. The doors
are lockable. Bring a small padlock. Kerosene lamps are
used for lighting.
Kaiwo
has a water supply. Across the road from the bungalow there's
a shower and water-seal toilet (bucket flush). Bath towels
and toilet paper are provided.
Simple
aelan
style meals are available at Lua ete Salgolo including lap-lap,
water taro
and tin fish. Breakfasts are commonly tea and crackers.
The guesthouse kitchen has a gas cook top and a good collection
of pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The local water supply
is sourced in the hills and is OK to drink.
