It is a wonderful location with excellent possibilities to swim, it is a shallow sandy area, not only in Champagne Beach also close to the bungalows.
The meals are good but rather expensive. The generator runs three hours in the evening and in the morning to charge your equipment.
it is a very safe place and a very good location. The bungalows have electric light and a own private bathroom, so it is very comfortable.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Most bungalows are made of local materials and are in excellent condition, it's just a short walk to the most amazing beach, and Janet and her husband Peter are very friendly.
We really liked that the bungalows are set on what is basically a little farm, with piglets running around, small chicken, and little calves. I had no idea that piglets can run so fast!
Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Meals are westernised international cuisine & not a single local dish on the menu. Breakfast was the same everyday. Meal sizes were ok but not generous. Dinner dishes are significantly overpriced at Vt1400 for one plate. Highlights were the Tanna coffee, and the excellent quality of the steak.
If you want good local meals for an appropriate price, go to the neighbours and ask for Unes or ring her daughter Sarah at 5656378. Please give advance notice and Unes will cook local dishes for you, with vegetables and fruit from her own garden.

We stayed 3 nights at Towoc and really enjoyed our time there. They were full when we arrived but Janet and her husband were kind enough to lend us a tent. We paid 1500 per person/night (incl. great breakfast). Janet and her family are really friendly and will help with anything. Meals at Towoc are between 700-1500. Only minus about the place is the religious pop music they like to play at the restaurant ;)

Janet is a lovely hostess and took care of all our needs in a cheerful manner. The location is stunning, and you get to use Champagne beach for free as it belongs to her father-in-law. The meals were very good, the bungalow clean and comfortable and the outdoor toilets very clean. All in all a superb holiday and highly recommended .

Towoc Restaurant and Bungalows was the perfect location for our stay in Santo. Simple local bungalows are fitted with everything you need for a relaxing beachside stay. The beds are comfortable and each has a mosquito net. The bathroom is a separate local hut kept immaculately. Western style toilets (bucket flush) are well kept, and the bucket shower is filled with fresh spring or rain water, a refreshing touch at either end of the day ...though I must admit I took a fancy to simply taking my dip in the clear spring waters at the front beach! Hosts Janet and Peter welcome their guests like old friends and you soon feel part of the family. Janet has been adding some new touches to the resort, without impacting its sleepy island persona; and has added some fresh new dishes to her daily selection including options for vegetarians or those after a lighter option at lunch or dinner. Every meal was fantastic, I couldn't fault one! Easily the nicest resorts I have stayed in in Vanuatu!

Janet was a lovely hostess and I have never seen such a clean place before! We stayed in one of the two new (2010) built bungalows with mosquito nets. There is even a fridge and a generator runs in the morning and evening. The food was some of the best I have eaten and Janet is always up for a nice little chat. A bucket shower and even proper flush toilets (didnt work when we were there, so bucket toilet) are nearby. Champagne Beach is a very beautiful place and there is very good snorkeling around the coast. For two nights (breakfast and dinner included even with beers) we (2) paid about 10 000 Vatu.

The bungalows are now called Towoc Bungalows, but they're still run by Janeth and as a local experience they are superb. We wouldn't have wanted to see the New Year in anywhere else in the world. Great value with free access to Champagne Beach an additional bonus.

This is a really superb place to stay. Everything you need and nothing that you don't. The bungalows themselves are super-cute, tidy and comfortable, while Janet and Peter are great hosts. We were really sad to leave - it was our favourite place to stay in Vanuatu!

We did not stay at the Towoc bungalows as we had already booked at Lonnoc bungalows down the road, but had dinner twice and lunch once in the restaurant. Janeth was very friendly and welcoming, and a great cook. The bungalows looked tidy and well kept, and the garden/grounds were immaculate. The location is unbeatable, right next door to Champagne Beach which is every bit as amazing as I had read it would be. We would definitely consider staying at Towoc next time we visit Santo.

Janet was the best hostess we had during our stay in Vanuatu- she even welcomed us into the family home (next door to the bungalows) and showed us how to make traditional lap-lap for the Easter holidays! The bungalows are very nicely kept- the rooms are cleaned daily and fresh flowers were always in the vase. Although the accommodation is very simple the bungalows are super comfortable and the location is unbeatable! The meals were excellent- fresh fish or beef with rice and vegies each night- and even more amazing considering they were cooked with nothing more than torchlight! As there are only two bungalows it's probably worth calling ahead to check there is availability- but if you arrive & get stranded the family offers home-stay style accommoation next door!
