Starting at Loanengo and dotted along the road towards Manuapen, there are several places to stay close to Yasur.

Walking up the volcano is the best way to see the volcano. Staying in this area for a couple of days you can make repeated visits, at any time and try different routes.

There are other places to explore including the ash plain, waterfalls, kastom villages and Port Resolution a bit further away.

Some of these may be difficult to contact and book. Never mind, they will not all be fully booked and if you don’t like one place then try the next. Visiting independently is probably the best way to go.

Arriving without any booking at the airport, you are likely to meet trucks from some of these bungalows, choose one and ask for a discounted fare (they will not refuse an extra guest). This is the easiest way to get to Loanengo.
