
Volcano Smile Lava Bungalows is a family owned and run business at Loanengo, Tanna. It’s priced competitively and comes with a friendly home-stay ambience. The Yasur volcano is nearby and kastom dances at Imayo village are popular with some visitors.
Costs and Booking
Volcano Smile Lava charges 2500 Vatu per night, meals included. Airport transfers are 2000 Vatu per person and should be negotiable for larger groups. Exchange Rates.

Accommodation and Food
Volcano Smile Lava has three pleasant bungalows with bamboo walls and coconut thatch roofs. Each has a double and a single bed inside. Mosquito nets are available. Lighting is by candles or kerosene lamps. There is a shared shower (cold water) and a modern flush toilet.
Simple, adequate meals are provided. Breakfasts are crackers or bread with coffee or tea. Lunch may be bread or aelan kaekae and sometimes local chicken. Dinner will have rice, aelan kaekae, vegetables and, when there are enough guests, Philip buys fish in Lenakel. The mountain spring water is OK to drink.
