Tropical Retreat Bungalows is a friendly place, 1.3 km past the Yasur Volcano entrance near Loanengo. Not many people know of this place although some tourists do visit the kastom village, Iatapu.

Accommodation at Tropical Retreat costs 2500 Vatu per person, including meals. Exchange Rates. There are four bungalows and a restaurant. Tropical Retreat has piped water, showers and flush toilets.

23/07/2011	Standard Location Value	We (2 Germans)spent 5 nights in the tree house (place for 3, 6000 vatu per night for both of us including all meals)being the only guests. Food was basic because of destoyed crops of a cyclon. Chief Jack and manager Mike tried to do their best to entertain us and to make our stay unforgettable like aranging a feast on our last evening with food from the earth oven and songs from the church choir. All the people are very friendly. The place is very quite and well located (walking distance to Port Resolution and Mount Yasur), some small shops on the way to the volcano parc entrance. They will charge you for the activities, but keep in mind that it is one of the rare possibilities for them to earn money. I can highly recommend that place.
