The
only place north
of Lenakel with a sand beach, Tanna White Beach is a new
family business 2.5km north of Lenakel. The
bungalows officially opened in November 2004. Tanna
White Beach Bungalows offers snorkelling along the inshore
reef and has kayaks for hire. They also have a hall which
is popular for workshops and meetings.
Costs
The new accommodation rates (Dec-2006), including
breakfast, are:
- Single 2500 Vatu,
- Double/Twin
4000 Vatu,
- Children under 12yrs 1500V,
- Children under 4 yrs are Free.
Meal
costs start at 400 Vatu for Lunch or Dinner.

Kayak
hire costs 1000 Vatu per hour.

been said that prices are a bit variable so check again
when you arrive and agree on how much to pay when checking

Accommodation
and Food
There are two twin bungalows (two single beds in each) and
two double bungalows (one double bed in each) built of local
materials. The beds have mosquito nets and mosquito coils
are available. Tanna White Beach Bungalows has a connection
to the Lenakel electricity supply.
Meals
are said to be simple but adequate. Seafood is available
(you need to order in advance). They have Tanna coffee for
breakfast.
Tanna
White Beach Bungalows has a piped water supply, one shower
and one modern, western flush toilet.
Transport
Tanna White Beach Bungalows are behind the Tanna
Coffee Shed a few hundred metres due west of the main road
and Loukatoi Village. They have a sign on the main road.
It costs only a few hundred Vatu getting to Loukatoi from
the airport or Lenakel. See our Tanna page for details on
