Eliezer
Travel Lodge is owned by Abraham, a teacher at Arep Secondary School. It is the first bungalow you pass when coming
from the airport, a little past the roundabout then turn
left towards the beach. Abraham is helpful in planning excursions and he has a fancy new speedboat in 2009.
Costs
and Booking
Eliezer Travel Lodge charges 2500 Vatu per person per night including
meals (new price, 2009). Exchange Rates. Abraham has a telephone, 38553.
Accommodation
and Food
Eliezer Travel Lodge has one large bungalow with three rooms
and two smaller bungalows. The large bungalow has one
twin room and one triple room. The smaller bungalows are a twin and a triple.
The
bungalows are half concrete, half-bamboo
with Natangura Palm thatch roofs and locking doors. The concrete
floor seems to stop fire ants. Mosquito nets are available in some bungalows. There is
electric lighting and some of the bungalows have solar lighting.
Kerosene lamps are available.
Eliezer
Travel Lodge has a modern toilet and shower but the water
pressure is usually not enough to take a shower (use buckets).
Soap, towels and toilet paper are provided.
Food
can be rather ordinary at Eliezer Travel Lodge, as elsewhere in Sola. Dinner is
typically rice, tin meat and local vegetables. Breafast is usually tea or 3-in-1 coffee mix and
crackers. You can buy fresh bread in Sola.
