We have spent 12 days at Paradise Bungalow and we had great difficulty to leave. The host family Young, Rachel and Father Luke are superb and go out of the way to make guests more than comfortable. The food is great and get better the longer you stay. A trip to reef island is a trip of a life time, fishing at its best. The house reef on Rah is great for snorkeling and swimming is lovely in the protected lagoon. The water is so clear you need no mask to see the fish and the coral. By far the best on Rah Island is go walk around and meet the fantastic locals and talk storys. Dont miss to ask Father Luke about the various community suport and development program, you may sponsor a child's education for a year with your contribution spent on accomodation.

To stay in Harry Memorial Guesthouse is like to come home. Since my first stay a lot was changed, Luke has renovated the facilities and the restaurant (cyclone 2008). All is very clean, the beach is nice but direct in front of the Bungalows not deep enough to swim. Luke and his family know a lot of customs on the Banks. And the food is very good. I look forward to my next stay. Gerd

After six months of anthropology research in Vanuatu this is unmistakeably THE place to be, as we in Vanuatu all know! I didn't do much 'comparative' research which was the plan but ate a lot of krab kokonas instead and that's important too (and made some of the best friends in Vanuatu at nightly kava)! Go people, go, crazy beautiful Ra can really take on more than 20 visitors a year! Voila Father Luke, as promised... Ale tata, lukim yu nekis taem!

Father Luke and Rona are very beautiful people and so is their family, John and Leslyn and their 5 children. The whole village community are very generous people who are happy and wish to make your stay a lifetime experience. We were a party of 9 persons and I know I wish to return some day to share and live this unique cultural experience again. Rhonda July 2009
