It is generally recommended that you have some inoculations for travel to Vanuatu.  It is sensible to check with Doctor for the  latest  up to date information.   

There is malaria in Vanuatu, so a course of malaria tablets is recommended for visitors. Your local health centre should be able to advice on what is most suitable for you. 

 Like tropical waters anywhere, some care needs to be taken while swimming in the waters of Vanuatu.  Coral cuts in particular should be treated as soon as possible to avoid infection.  To avoid coral cuts, and other hazards such as poisonous stone fish, it's advisable to wear sandshoes when swimming.
