| This short-legged, stocky wader breeds all around the world in the high Arctic regions during May-August and is a widespread non-breeding visitor along coasts almost throughout the world (Hayman et al, 1986). The nominate interpres would be expected in the Australasian region. This bird is a regular visitor to Vanuatu in small numbers. It forages in coastal habitats including reefs, coral flats and beaches. References. |
